This is where….

I thought that I would use this week’s blog to show where we work and a little bit about Apia. First, this is where we go to church, the Motootua Ward. They are having a big party on Friday welcoming a returning missionary to the Ward. They have big parties when missionaries return home. I hope we can survive the Samoan food.

The next two pictures is the downtown clock tower. It is one of the oldest structures in town.

This store is Apia's Walmart. It is more like Honks Dollar Store.

Here they are trimming trees on campus with bush knives (machetes), Gramma wanted to send this picture to Cooper for helpful tree trimming tips. Notice the ladders and standing on top of the truck.

This is the back of the school office. Our office is on the second floor where the light is on. It is a nice office and the conference room is just down the hall where we teach our Pesega Classes. Notice the man in the window taking the picture, a sign of a true professional.
I turned left from where I took that picture and you can see the beautiful Samoan Temple, right next to where we work.

Turning left again you can see the campus and the patron temple housing in the back. This is what we see out our office window.
The final picture is of the front (the other picture was of the back) of the Church College (high school)of Pesega.

Hope this gives you an idea of our missionary work day and a little about Apia. We love and miss you all,
Tofa Soifua,
Elder and Sister Hammond
