Well after a lot of goodbye's were were off to the MTC.
Thank you, Barbara, for the beautiful and tasty cake! We had our setting apart on Sunday evening, January 19, with President Andersen, and Joy and Wayne, Claudia and Scott, and Matt, and all their families. We missed Cristina because she was very sick with the flu. Thank you Joy, for the wonderful dinner at your home after the setting apart. The good-byes were hard but we knew there were exciting times ahead. We left at 6:30 a.m. the next morning and arrived at the MTC by 10:00 a.m.
That looks a long way away! But the people are really friendly, we met several while taking this picture.
These three Elders are headed to the Samoa Apia Mission too. We look small don't we. We have been so busy with all the classes and training there were so many neat couples (124 people in our group) training with us. They are going all over the world, half of them are going to live at home and serve in the Missions in their area. Half of the training is in our Districts. This was ours with one picture with our morning instructor and one with our afternoon instructor. These young people are fantastic and so great to be around.

Our District is: The Jackson's going to Samoa too only another type of assignment. The Mullennaux's going to serve in a small branch in Kansas. Sister Young and Sister Mead, going LA California, Sister Young will be a auxiliary specialist, and Sister Mead is an Iranian and will teach Iranians in LA. They are all special people. We have three more days of training and fly to New Zealand for more training and then get to Samoa on Feb. 5th. The Gospel is true and we are excited to be on the Lord's errand. Our next post will probably be from Samoa. Alofa (love) and Tofa Soifua.
